Best way to describe this is FLAT and FAST as a F-1 course should be, this is all about SPEED!
The swim will be parallel to the beach on Belle Isle, One loop around the island on the bike, followed by half mile out and back on the run, then back in the water. three times. This is draft legal and you will go off in sets of 12. Men first, followed by the women.
A flow thru transition will be used for this format, opens at 6:00 a.m. next to the beach. You will rack according to your group, so each group will be racked in twelves.
Starting in sets of 12, you will head out about 100m across 25m then back basically parallel to the shoreline. 250m per lap.
Heading out of transition you will complete one loop on the bike in the bike lane around the island. This is a draft legal bike course, communication out there is key. There will be very little traffic on the island at 7:00 a.m. and your bike lane will be coned all the way around the island.
Run: 1 mi.
Heading out of transition you will head straight down half a mile, turnaround and return. Aid station will be at the transition exit.
Course markings will be chalk.
