Food From Athletes – started in 2004
We thought we are in the perfect position to take giving back to another level. Giving athletes the ability to give back throughout the year rather than just during the holidays. Not only taking non-perishable food items at each event but taking old Running shoes. Thousands of people all over the country cannot afford a pair of shoes. So rather than throw those old running shoes out that have a couple hundred miles on them we ask athletes to bring them to the events. We have a few places that distributes them around the country. We take the non-perishable food items to local homeless shelters, and other facilities all over the state.
