TRI - ONE
Our exclusive TRI - One program was launched many years ago when athletes raced as part of their training, rewarded themselves for all the training they were doing and to gain all that important race day experience you cannot simulate. As the multi-sport community has evolved to the opposite now we are bringing back the program. it is really simple, you need more open water swim training? great, cmon out and get it with our lifeguards and courses. Want to get a nice hard time trial on the bike in? cmon out and race on our course. Need to get a run in and want to do so with aid stations? cmon out and join other runners.
Each TRI - One will have a designated start time, you will simply head to the TRI - One start flag for the discipline you choose, line up, and when the clock strikes and the horn sounds you are off. With our events, time trial swim starts now you will line up accordingly. Or if you want to take the Kayak or SUP out for a nice paddle with others where offered.
The cost for these is a flat $25. For that, you get a finisher's medal and access to the post-race food tent. You may purchase a shirt for $10.
You can register online or onsite. If onsite it is cash only!
We all know the history of endurance sports on the islands of Hawaii, it only makes sense for Powerman Hawaii to create it\'s own history, memories and legends. Kailua Kona\'s Kealakehe High School is the perfect setting. It sits about a mile above the coast overlooking downtown Kona, dolphins and whales swimming by and on a clear day the island of Maui off the coast.
The high schools track stadium will play host as friends family and spectators fill the stands as the athletes enter the stadium to watch a 300m battle between the athletes as they hit the track for the final run to the finish.
The epic bike and run courses will take the athletes on a challenging run above the high school and bike course below the high school that will feature a 800m climb each lap on the multi-loop course.

It all stays on the big island! We have created this unique event not only to bring World Class racing in a low impact, spectator friendly format to Kona but to build something the entire island can be proud of. In order to do that it must start with the Keiki, the kids. Our vision was to have high schools as the foundation and build from there. In this specific case for this event Kealakehe high school Waveriders is the venue. We will involved every possible club, class and group at the high school to benefit directly from this event. From the photography to the concessions to the art department and so on. Your entry is going to directly impact programs, students, clubs and teams within the school. Our goal is to expand this to other schools creating an Ohana of races not only for veterans, elites, locals of all ages, and sizes but kids from all over.
The event could not happen without Doug Henbest, huge Mahalo!
